CIBC is planning to open 21 new or expanded full-service banking centres set across the country by early 2010, the bank said Wednesday.
These new locations are part of CIBC’s five-year strategic plan to build, relocate and expand over 70 new branches, 23 of which have opened to date, to enhance the service experience for its clients.
“We are committed to investing in the long-term growth of communities across the country by giving our clients more banking options. Now, more than ever, our clients want professional financial advice,” says Sonia Baxendale, president of CIBC Retail Markets. “These new branches will provide our clients with even greater access to our products and services and the opportunity to talk with an advisor about financial solutions that meet their personal and business banking needs.”
The 21 new or expanded branches will open in Kelowna, British Columbia; Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta; Ajax, Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, Kanata, Markham, Milton, Richmond Hill, Toronto, and Vaughan, Ontario; and Laval and Montreal, Quebec.
