CIBC Mellon received “top-rated” status and the highest overall score amongst its Canadian competitors in Global Custodian magazine’s 2001 Annual Agent Bank Review. Complete survey results were published in the fall issue of Global Custodian.

“We are again delighted with the results of this year’s survey and pleased so many of our clients took the time to comment on our services,” said Thomas C. MacMillan, chief executive officer, CIBC Mellon. “This rating is extremely meaningful to us, since it acts as a benchmark for quality and commitment within the ndustry and provides us with valuable feedback on our own service. The results will be carefully analyzed so that we may continue to implement further service improvements in order to exceed our clients expectations.”

The Annual Agent Bank Review measures the quality of service provided by agent banks and judges sub-custodians in eight categories: settlement services, safekeeping services, client reporting, account administration, ancillary services, technology, commitment and fees. CIBC Mellon’s highest score was in the area of reporting and technology.
