CIBC is expanding the number of branches in Ontario with Saturday banking hours to offer clients greater flexibility, access and choice.

By the end of this year, CIBC will have introduced Saturday hours at 33 additional Ontario locations in 2008, bringing the total to 185 CIBC locations offering Saturday banking in the province.

“Many of our clients work during the week and have to juggle a number of commitments on weekends,” says Larry Tomei, senior vp, CIBC Retail Markets, Central Ontario. “By offering Saturday hours at branches located in busy shopping areas, we’re making it easier for our clients to fit in their banking when it suits their schedules.”

So far this year CIBC has introduced Saturday hours at 17 locations in Ontario.

Beginning July 5, CIBC clients will be able to bank on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at seven additional CIBC branches in Southern Ontario located in Ancaster, Burlington, Fort Erie, Guelph, Kitchener and Ridgeway.

Later this summer and into the fall, CIBC will introduce Saturday hours at branches located in Amherstburg, Brantford, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Newmarket, North York, Richmond Hill and Windsor.

Two additional CIBC locations in the GTA, at Gerrard Square in Toronto and the Markville Shopping Centre in Markham, will begin offering Sunday banking on July 6.

As part of its overall strategy to provide clients with greater flexibility, access and choice, CIBC is also extending the regular weekday hours at many of its locations.
