CIBC continues to restructure the management level of its retail division.

The bank dismissed 10 executives in its retail unit on Monday, including three senior vice presidents: Pam Cuber, senior vice president of branch and small business banking for the Greater Toronto area; Rob Paterson, senior vice president of small-business banking; and Debbie Edgehill, senior vice president of branch and small-business banking for CIBC’s Prairie operations.

The seven other dismissals are vice-presidents, six from the bank’s Imperial Service financial planning unit.

Two other senior vice-presidents – Gabe Kalmar, a senior vice-president of sales effectiveness, and King Lee, vice-president of Asian banking – will be retiring.

In June, after Sonia Baxendale replaced Jill Denham as head of the retail division, CIBC dismissed three executive vice presidents in that unit.

The departures come a week after the bank was hit with a US$2.4 billion legal settlement with Enron Corp. investors and a US$250 million settlement with Enron itself.
