The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) has elected two new vice chairmen to its board of directors: Peter Brown, chairman & founder, Canaccord Financial Inc. and Charlie Spiring, National Bank Financial Wealth Management, senior investment advisor, vice chairman & director.
The two were elected at the IIAC’s annual general meeting on June 6, in Toronto.
The meeting also marked the second and final year of Roman Dubczak’s term as chairman of the IIAC board of directors.
Dubczak, managing director and head of cash equities, wholesale banking with CIBC World Markets Inc., welcomed the election of two new vice chairs.
“I am pleased to begin my second year as board chair and, working with the IIAC and my fellow board members, we will continue to provide strong and effective leadership for Canada’s investment industry,” he said.
