Bank of Montreal has enhanced its wireless service to offer more detailed stock and index information and the ability to personalize real-time news delivered to mobile phones and PDAs. BMO Wireless was launched in May 1999.

Customers can now receive stock trading activity such as previous close, timing of price movements, trade volume, last trade and the trading range.

As well, BMO wireless customers gain the ability to customize real-time news feeds from Reuters and Canadian Press. Customers can choose and receive news coverage, tailored to their personal interests, from an extensive list of subjects.

“Bank of Montreal was the first to launch wireless financial services in North America and BMO Wireless remains the most comprehensive service of its kind,” said Mark Dickelman, vice president of m-commerce and wireless for Bank of Montreal. “Our objective is to continue to develop new and substantive enhancements to this offering, putting important, timely and useful information literally into the hands of our customers anywhere and anytime they need it.”
