BMO Nesbitt Burns has hired James Goll as managing director, U.S. Debt Origination Group. Based in New York, Goll is the latest addition to an 18-person team focused on providing high yield finance, private placements, restructurings and coverage of financial-sponsor groups.

“The addition of Jim Goll reflects our strong commitment to developing our U.S.-based debt business as well as to providing our clients with better access to U.S. capital markets,” said James Moglia, executive managing director and head, U.S. Debt Origination, BMO Nesbitt Burns. “Jim’s extensive experience strengthens our debt transaction capabilities and will benefit our U.S. financial sponsor clients.”

Goll spent the last 13 years at PaineWebber Inc., where he was a managing director in the Investment Banking division, providing financial advisory and capital-raising services to clients in the consumer products industry. His experience includes all facets of investment banking, including acquisitions, divestitures, public and private equity, high-yield and other debt financings.

Goll is a graduate of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
