(May 31 – 09:10 ET) – Bank of Montreal is introducing new wealth management services with the launch of BMO Harris Private Banking.

Using the model created for the U.S. market by Bank of Montreal’s Chicago-based subsidiary Harris Bank, the new private banking operation will provide North American delivery of customized wealth management solutions.

Aimed at meeting the needs of high net worth clients, BMO Harris Private offers specialized estate, trust planning and administration, investment management, private banking, tax and succession planning and investment administration services.

“BMO Harris Private Banking combines the strengths of Bank of Montreal Private Client Services and BMO Harris Investment Management Inc., formerly Jones Heward Investment Management Inc.,” said Graham Parsons, senior vice president, Bank of Montreal and head of BMO Harris Private Banking. “The new name, BMO Harris Private Banking, formalizes this union. The Harris model is a proven success in the U.S. and highly adaptable to the needs of Canadian private banking clients.”

BMO Harris Private Banking is part of Bank of Montreal’s private client group, which has total assets under administration of $221.4 billion.
