BMO Capital Markets announced Friday that it is continuing to expand its U.S. fixed income institutional sales and trading groups, by adding two new senior professionals to these teams.

The firm has hired Scott Graham as head of U.S. government bond trading, and Bill Kirby joins as head of the U.S. fixed income sales group.

The announcement comes one day after BMO Capital Markets announced that it hired five new managing directors in other areas of its U.S. operations.

“With the addition of these proven leaders, we continue to build aggressively upon a world class institutional fixed income sales and trading business in the U.S,” said Charlie Piermarini, executive managing director and head of debt products.

Graham, based in Chicago, was previously at the Royal Bank of Scotland where he held the position of managing director and head of global supra sovereigns and agencies.

Kirby will have offices in both Chicago and New York. He brings more than 25 years of fixed income experience, including acting as a managing director at Bengal Partners.

“We continue to facilitate the development of our interest rate businesses and maximize cross-product opportunities in the U.S.,” said Luke Seabrook, executive managing director and head of financial products.
