BMO Capital Markets today announced the hiring of Michael Vinciquerra as a managing director and senior equity research analyst to cover specialty finance companies.

Vinciquerra joins the firm’s financial institutions equity research group comprising five senior analysts. The team currently covers more than 70 public companies, including regional and small-/mid-cap banks as well as specialty finance companies and real estate income trusts. Based in Atlanta, Vinciquerra will focus on securities companies.

Vinciquerra joins BMO from Raymond James, where he covered specialty finance for the past eight years. During that time, he was twice recognized in The Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street Survey for his research coverage of the financial services industry. He is also bringing two research associates with him.

He earned an MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in North Carolina. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
