People Before Profits is the new slogan for the Savings and Credit Unions of British Columbia.

Two new 30-second TV commercials, created by Wasserman & Partners Advertising Inc, Vancouver, capture the People Before Profits theme. The first spot, a kaleidoscope of weddings with a twist, will be aired across the province on January 13.

“This campaign is definitely aimed at the viewer’s heart,” said Credit Union Central of British Columbia president and CEO Wayne Nygren, in a news release. “It emphasizes what credit unions are all about — and, more importantly, what they are not — that is, institutions with eyes solely on the size of the customer’s wallet.”

“Even though credit unions match the banks when it comes to financial products and services, they still maintain that grass-roots sense of community and respect for individuals and families,” Nygren adde. “When you join a credit union, the bloom doesn’t rub off after the honeymoon.”
