Paul Haggis is resigning as president and CEO of Alberta Treasury Branches, and has accepted a position with a undisclosed public company. Hagis will and will be leaving ATB on December 31.
“Under the stewardship of Paul Haggis, ATB has grown into a strong and viable financial institution,” said Ron Triffo, chairman of the board of directors of ATB ” We are most appreciative of his contributions toward the success of ATB over the past five years and we are saddened to see him leave the organization.”
The ATB board of directors is currently reviewing a number of succession options and an announcement will be made soon to ensure a smooth transition.
Haggis joined ATB in September 1996. Under his guidance, ATB’s assets grew from $8 billion to over $12 billion, with retained earnings of $475.1 million.
