Assante Asset Management Ltd. is reporting net sales in Canada of $119 million for Dec. 2002, up from $83.9 million in the corresponding period last year.

It was a strong year of net sales for Assante with year-to-date net sales of $1.5 billion, double the $748 million for 2001.

As a percentage of the company’s monthly average Canadian assets under management, December net sales were 1.9 per cent and year-to-date net sales were 26.7 per cent. The company’s Canadian assets under management were $6.2 billion at December 31, 2002.
