(December 1 – 14:40 ET) – National Bank Financial Group has announced new appointments to it’s managing team.

Jean Turmel, president, Financial Markets, Treasury and Investment Bank at the National Bank, has been appointed chairman of the board of National Bank Financial.

Kym Anthony will hold the position of president and CEO of NBF. Germain Carriere will serve as president and COO, Individual Investors Services. David Wood has been appointed as chief administrative officer of National Bank Financial

These appointments come one year after the merger of Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion (LBG) and First Marathon, a year during which the two outgoing co-chairmen and co-CEOs, Pierre Brunet and Lawrence Bloomberg, oversaw the integration of these two firms into National Bank Financial.
