(May 30 – 14:35 ET) – Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is now selling group auto and property program to smaller companies, especially high tech companies.
Most group insurers don’t provide policies for groups with fewer than 300 members, according to Allstate’s Canadian group manager, Wendy DaSilva. She said, “Allstate recognizes that a great deal of new growth in the Canadian economy is coming from smaller businesses and particularly those in the information technology field.”
“A company with a smaller employee base needs group insurance perhaps more than the large firm,” said Harry Bryant, group sales manager. “Having the best group insurance is now considered mandatory as part of the package that will recruit and keep the highly skilled people, who are now the main resource of advanced technology companies in a very competitive environment. We are among the leaders providing group coverage for smaller firms with highly skilled workers.”
