Toronto-based law firm Torys has lost the head of its public finance practice. Margaret “Peg” Henry is moving to the Market Regulation division of the Securities and Exchange Commission as an attorney-fellow in the Office of Municipal Securities.
Henry, who is based in the New York office of Torys, is going to the SEC for a two-year term beginning June 4.
Martha Mahan Haines, chief of the Office of Municipal Securities, said, “Peg’s extensive experience in a number of capacities with a wide variety of public finance transactions will be a tremendous asset to the commission as we work with the municipal finance community and provide municipal market expertise to other offices and divisions within the commission.”
