The Securities and Exchange Commission has granted the U.S. securities industry’s request for more time to comment on Nasdaq’s application to become an official exchange.
The industry had asked for a longer comment period, because the application is complex and much of the industry is on vacation in the summer. While the SEC has extended the comment period, it has only pushed the deadline back until August 29. The industry was hoping for a fall deadline.
A complete copy of Nasdaq’s exchange application is available in the commission’s Public Reference Room. Significant portions of the application are also available online.
