There’s plenty of job shuffling going on at the Ontario Securities Commission these days.
Three notable OSC staffers are on the move, according to a story in today’s Globe and Mail.
Bill Gazzard, director of capital markets at the OSC, is leaving the commission to become vice president, compliance at TD Securities.Tim Moseley, an OSC enforcement counsel, is joining Merrill Lynch. Toni Ferrari, the former manager of compliance at the OSC, is joining Royal Bank’s investment division.
Within the OSC, Rebecca Cowdery has seen her job change a bit. Cowdery new position is manager, Investment Funds Regulatory Reform. Paul Dempsey is taking over her old title as manager, Investment Funds.
Cowdery is charged with focusing on developing a proposal for new fund governance rules. She also maintains responsibility for updating regulation on investment funds, including promised revisions to the sales practices rule.
