(July 11 -12:20 ET) – The Gluskin Sheff & Associates Inc. RRSP Fund is having to revise its prospectus and annual information form to comply with the new plain language prospectus disclosure rules.
The fund has applied for, and received, an extension on its current prospectus to August 14 to give it time to get the documents up to snuff. The prospectus would have ordinarily lapsed on June 22.
The OSC decision granting the relief says, a pro forma simplified prospectus and a pro forma annual information form were filed with the OSC on May 23. The fund received the OSC’s comments on the filings on June 6, requiring it to redraft the documents.
In order to get them in shape the fund applied for the extension so that it can, “fully comply with National Instrument 81-101 Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure”.
