The Nova Scotia Securities Commission reports that it has pushed up its implementation of the passport system to Sept. 19, in line with what the other jurisdictions adopting the rule are planning.
On Aug. 22, the commission approved the new national rule regarding the Principal Regulator System, declaring that it would take effect on Nov. 5.
However, in a notice, the NSSC says that at its request, the Governor in Council abridged the time limit for the effective date of the rule and amendments to other rules that accompany this initiative to Sept. 19.
