(March 7 – 12:00 ET) – Ontario Securities Commission Chairman, David Brown, today welcomed the appointment of Paul Moore as one of the OSC’s two vice chairs. Moore has been appointed to a five-year term.
“This is an excellent appointment for the OSC,” Brown said. “Paul Moore is a well-respected practitioner in the securities industry who brings a great deal of depth to his new position.”
Prior to his appointment, Moore was a partner in the Toronto office of Torys. He practiced with Torys for the past 34 years in the areas of derivatives, securities, banking and trust, corporate/commercial, pension and insurance law and was head of the firm’s Derivatives Practice Group.
Moore has extensive experience in all aspects of the financial institution and financial services industries and has had extensive interaction with stock exchanges and regulatory authorities for securities and banking.
