(April 2 – 11:40 ET) – The Financial Services Commission of Ontario is seeking input on its priorities for the coming year.

The Ontario Securities Commission has already issued its Statement of Priorities for 2001.

In keeping with the FSCO Act and its goal of furthering transparency in the regulatory process, FSCO is seeking written submissions from industry players regarding their views on which issues should be identified as priorities. Comment is due by April 30.

FSCO’s statement of priorities for the coming fiscal year will be submitted to the Ontario Minister of Finance in June 2001 and will be published in The Ontario Gazette shortly after that.
