Canadians will gain better access to their securities regulators and to investor education information on the Internet with a new Web site launched today by the Canadian Securities Administrators.
According to the CSA, the Web site at www.csa-acvm.ca is another example of how the nation’s securities regulators are working together to help Canadian investors access the information they need to make educated investment decisions.
The Web site provides information about the CSA and securities regulation, as well as contact information for all CSA members and links to the Web sites of provincial securities regulators..
It archives CSA news releases for the past year, along with investor information including education brochures, articles and tips for investors.
The Web site also provides investor education for children and teenagers, complete with links to resources for them to learn more about the world of investing.
Related Web site links for electronic public company information, stock exchanges, regulatory organizations and other investor education sites are also made available.
The Web site will soon feature key investor alerts and warnings for investors about suspicious or clearly fraudulent activities that have come to the attention of Canadian securities regulators.
