The Alberta Securities Commission says a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Christopher Steffensen, who failed to appear and respond to charges under the Securities Act on June 3 in Provincial Court.

The ASC alleges that Steffensen, president of Powerskor Canada Inc., illegally raised over $1.3 million from 77 investors in Alberta, without receiving a receipt for a prospectus or being registered to sell securities as required by the Securities Act.

The ASC also alleges that Steffensen made a misrepresentation to investors and potential investors that Powerskor Canada Inc. had a patent on Netcard technology.
