(February 26 – 10:10 ET) – The Commission des valeurs mobilières du Québec has redesigned its Web site at www.cvmq.com.

The new site now includes: the list of securities eligible for the Québec Stock Savings Plan; a directory of dealers and advisors; notices of public hearings; insider trading reports; registration forms; the most recent press releases; the text of its weekly bulletin; and help wanted notices.

“This is a major redesign of the commission’s site, making it more user-friendly, complete and practical,” said commission chair Carmen Crépin. “I am convinced that both investors and industry members will appreciate the new site.”

Crépin noted that since the financial markets are changing rapidly it is vital for investors to have access to objective and complete information to use in making informed and intelligent decisions.
