(February 13 – 09:10 ET) – Banc of America Securities Canada Co. has joined the Investment Dealers Association.

The firm’s membership in the IDA is effective February 5. The firm is a subsidiary of Banc of America Securities, a full-service investment bank and brokerage firm, which is itself a subsidiary of Bank of America Corp.

Banc of America Securities maintains its primary operations in San Francisco, New York and Charlotte, N.C. Its international operations include offices in Toronto, London and Dover, U.K., Hong Kong, Mexico City, Santiago, Chile, Sao Paolo, Brazil, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo.

Bank of America boasts US$672 billion in assets, and is the holding company for the largest bank in the United States. The company’s stock is listed on the New York, Pacific and London stock exchanges, and certain shares are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
