MSN.ca yesterday announced the launch of MSN Money, a new personal finance site for Canadian investors. With traffic of more than 5.3 million monthly visitors, and upwards of a million projected page views each month, Judy Elder, general manager of MSN.ca says she is excited about the potential for MSN Money in Canada.
The new site Money offers a range of tools and resources on a wide spectrum of financial topics. “Canadians can use MSN Money to plan their financial lives, make financial decisions, and more importantly they can act on those decisions using the services that best meet their needs from our roster of online partners,” says Elder.
That roster of partners includes American Express Canada, E*TRADE Canada Inc., CIBC, Royal Bank of Canada, and Scotia Capital, epost, and Kanetix, as well as commentary and analysis from Morningstar.ca, Interactivedata, Market General Financial services, and various media outlets.
The three areas of the site cover investing, links to banking partners and planning tools.
The MSN Money goal is “to provide Canadians with a complete online financial resource, aggregating Canadian banks, insurance companies and brokerage houses onto one easy-to-use site,” Elder says.
With stock tickers, stock alerts via MSN Messenger, tracking, calculators, research, history and analysis, as well as related news from sources like Reuters, and commentary from columnists like Dierdre McMurdy and John Caspar, Elder says the company is projecting 350 thousand new users each month.
