Investor Learning Centre of Canada
and the Canadian Securities
Institute have been recognized for
their outstanding contribution to
public investment education.

At the 5th Annual Canadian
Mutual Funds Award Gala, the ILC
and CSI were given the 1999
Investor Education Award for
providing the best financial
education in any medium including
TV, print, Web site, radio or
corporate initiatives. A panel of
mutual fund analysts made the
final selection based on
information gathered for a
one-year period ending November 1,
1999.

In another ceremony, the ILC
and CSI were recognized for their
valuable contribution to “Your
Money, Your Life, Your Way” a
financial literacy pilot for
grade nine and ten girls in
Ontario.

On November 23, the Honourable
Helen Johns, Minister Responsible
for Women’s Issues, presented
CSI/ILC President Dr. Roberta
Wilton with a plaque in recognition
of ILC and CSI efforts to improve
the financial literacy of women in
Ontario.

“We are delighted to receive
this significant recognition of
our commitment to investor
education,” says Dr. Wilton. “We
will continue to be the leaders of
both public and professional
investment learning.”
