The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors has issued a statement expressing its condolences and sympathy on behalf of its members to Americans in the wake of the World Trade Center disaster.

“CAIFA’s board of directors and staff are both shocked and saddened by what has happened. In the days ahead, as our members will be struggling to come to terms with the impact of these events on their lives, businesses and the lives and businesses of their clients. And as an association, CAIFA will be working to assess how best to meet the evolving needs of its members,” it says.

CAIFA says that “the American ideals of peace, prosperity and personal freedom, shared by Canadians, are now more evident and precious to us all. The tragic events of yesterday are a reminder of the higher orders that drive our actions within an association of people who are in the business of caring for the peace of mind of others.”
