(August 16 – 13:10 ET) – The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors reports that its upcoming annual conference is sold out.

CAIFA’s 2000 National Conference has officially sold out 1,200 seats six weeks in advance. The three-day conference will be held September 23 to 26, in Saskatoon.

CAIFA 2000, Fast Forward your Business: Partnering with Technology, focuses on a “high-touch” meets “high-tech” theme. Sessions in this year’s program include Web site design, industry analyses, technical workshops and reviews of e-commerce security.

Speakers include: Pamela Wallin, moderating a panel of leading Canadian company presidents; former New Brunswick premier, Frank McKenna, speaking on establishing a technology-based economy, and George Hartman explaining the inner workings of asset allocation and modern portfolio theory. The conference will also feature live performances from country group Farmer’s Daughter and Burton Cummings.

“We’re very pleased with the turnout and the excellent effort shown by our South Saskatchewan chapter in promoting the event,” says David Thibaudeau, CAIFA president and CEO. “This is the largest conference in CAIFA’s history and it demonstrates our members’ strong commitment to continuing education.”
