Phoenix-based Advisor Marketing is making its “official” entry into Canada. The firm is increasing its efforts to help Canadian financial advisors and planners sharpen their marketing skills and grow their business.

“We’ve conducted programs in Canada and Canadian advisors visit our Web site and subscribe to our electronic newsletter,” said Martin Baird, president of Advisor Marketing, a full-service marketing management firm. “Now we’re making it official and stepping up our efforts to reach more Canadian advisors. We are in the Canadian market and we’re here to help advisors become experts at effective, revenue-generating marketing.”

The firm provides a variety of services, including seminars and conference speaking engagements on such topics as referrals, marketing, client communication and transitioning to fee.

Advisor Marketing’s Web site, www.advisormarketing.com, is aimed at financial advisors who want to learn how to do a better job of marketing their practice and, consequently, boost their sales, Baird said. The information is free because the site is supported by such sponsors as American Skandia and Heartland Advisors.

The site offers a free weekly electronic newsletter; a free directory of service providers of interest to financial advisors; free reports on marketing, direct mail, public relations, customer service and sales; and evaluation of advisors’ marketing materials that is provided at no charge when the critique is posted online for all advisors to read. Advisormarketing.com also offers an electronic forum where advisors can learn from each other by discussing common problems, sharing ideas and gaining new insights from their peers.

There’s also a tip-of-the-day page and a resource page with recommendations for books, magazines and other Web sites.

“Advisormarketing.com gives advisors and planners a convenient, around-the-clock resource for marketing advice, information and tools,” Baird said. “It’s the same information available at our seminars plus more.”
