(October 6 – 16:45 ET) –
The Canadian Association of
Financial Planners released the
results of another survey on this,
the third day of National
Financial Planning Week.

Though 91% of the more than
2,000 planners surveyed by the
CAFP said they used the Internet,
only 68% agreed the technology
has had a positive impact on
their profession.

“The Internet provides an
opportunity for greater education
for consumers and financial
planners,” said Terry Taylor,
CAFP president. “But planners
are cautious about the lack of
quality control.”

Whether the CAFP intends to
promote efficient web browsing
habits or advocate Internet
education has not been made
clear.
