Toronto-based TD Asset Management Inc., portfolio manager of TD Mutual Funds, has added K-class units to the TD Retirement Conservative Portfolio, the TD Retirement Balanced Portfolio and TD Tactical Monthly Income Fund. The K-class units require a minimum investment of $150,000 for the TD Retirement portfolios and of $100,000 for TD Tactical Monthly Income Fund. Subsequent investment minimums are $100 for all three products. For investors who meet the minimum investment requirements, K-class units provide access to potentially tax-efficient cash flows, with the added advantage of lower management fees relative to other series of these funds. “As the population ages, more investors are looking for ways to fund their retirement,” says Paul Orlander, president, TD Mutual Funds. “Expanding our broad solutions by adding K series to these funds helps give affluent investors close to or in retirement the cash flow they are seeking. Plus, with K series, they benefit from preferred pricing on some of our most innovative products.”
