Firms increasingly adopting electronic data feeds to track insurance policies

Bluesun Inc., a Burlington, Ont.-based financial services software firm, has announced the appointment of Mike Donati as its president.

Donati took over the role effective June 1, according to Bluesun, which provides the WealthServ software widely used in the financial services sector.

Donati takes over from Stewart Wigg, co-founder of Bluesun, who has been president since the company launched in 2001. Wigg has taken on the role of chairman of Bluesun’s board of directors, a role that will enable him to focus on additional opportunities and initiatives, the company said.

Donati has more than 30 years in the insurance technology space, including positions as a developer, project manager and product architect. Most recently, he was vice president, sales and account management at software consulting firm EquiSoft.

As president of Bluesun, Donati will focus on the product quality, service delivery and the continued growth of the WealthServ suite of products within the marketplace.
