Toronto-based Horizons ETFs Management (Canada) Inc. has introduced Horizons Active Floating Rate Senior Loan ETF, which seeks to provide investors with a high level of current income by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of U.S.-based senior secured floating-rate loans, which generally are rated below investment-grade, and debt securities, with capital appreciation as a secondary objective. The ETF will seek to hedge its non-Canadian dollar (non-C$) currency exposure to the C$ at all times. The ETF will be subadvised by AlphaFixe Capital Inc., a Montreal-based investment- management firm focused on fixed-income investing, and will be actively managed by Sébastien Rhéaume and Diane Favreau, managing directors at AlphaFixe.
