Veteran regulator Susan Wolburgh Jenah has been appointed to an advisory panel at the C.D. Howe Institute.

Wolburgh Jenah, who ended her stint as president & CEO of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) in October last year, has been named to the Institute’s National Council, a group that advises the Toronto-based think tank’s research program.

“Susan has extensive experience in capital markets regulation, notably in matters of conduct and investor protection,” noted C.D. Howe Institute president and CEO, William Robson, in a news release. “I know the Council and the Institute will benefit greatly from her insights.”

Prior to her time leading IIROC, Wolburgh Jenah was at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) in a number of positions, including vice chair. She also serves on the board of the U.S. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Ted Rogers School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, Global Risk Institute in Financial Services, Hennick Centre for Business and Law and Laurentian Bank of Canada. She was also recently named a fellow for the winter term at Osgoode Hall Law School.
