Toronto-based Arrow Capital Management Inc. announced on Tuesday a new U.S. dollar (US$) series of its Exemplar Tactical Corporate Bond Fund and Exemplar Investment Grade Fund.

The newly launched series is aimed at investors who have US$ to invest and are looking to minimize currency fluctuations between the US$ and the Canadian dollar, according to the firm’s announcement.

The Exemplar Tactical Corporate Bond Fund is an unconstrained flexible fixed-income mandate, which employs a variety of credit instruments. This total return approach is meant to balance capital appreciation and income.

The Exemplar Investment Grade Fund is intended to preserve capital in situations that will create negative performance in corporate fixed-income investments and produces a stable, low-risk income stream, which is compelling in today’s low interest rate environment, states the firms in its announcement.

Mike MacBain and Mike Swan, portfolio managers with Toronto-based East Coast Fund Management Inc., a subadvisor to Arrow Capital, actively manage these funds.
