Conquest rolls out four new features

Winnipeg-based financial planning and analysis software Conquest Planning announced four new features for its April updates: large language model data migration, verbal natural language processing, external AI connections and guided planning.

Large language model data migration can import unstructured data from text documents and spreadsheets into Conquest, reducing manual data entry and letting advisors transition from other software to Conquest easily.

Conquest made its planning engine available via a model context protocol server to let external AI agents interact with the software. It “eliminates” the risk of hallucinations as the external AI can get planning data directly from the source, the company said.

Advisors can speak to Conquest’s AI with natural language questions about plan reporting, strategy, navigation and more. This feature will expand to client access and plan editing in the future.

Conquest’s AI can also guide advisor through modelling scenarios that require multiple coordinated strategies by breaking them down into individual steps. The first of these guides walk advisors through tax-deferred, tax-free and taxable account strategies, with additional guides on home buying, pensions and decumulation decisions coming later in the year.

Friedmann AI offers insurance quotes from 23 carriers

Toronto-based financial planning and analysis software Friedmann AI started offering insurance quotes from 23 Canadian carriers, the company announced recently.

Agents can calculate a prospect’s insurance needs, obtain quotes and present recommendations within the software, Michael Dutra, CEO of the fintech, said in an email. The objective was to reduce tool switching by running the whole process on one platform instead of entering the same data in multiple carrier portals.

The insurers are:

  1. Assumption Mutual Life Insurance Company
  2. Beneva Inc.
  3. Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada
  4. BMO Life Assurance Company
  5. The Canada Life Assurance Company
  6. Co-operators Life Insurance Company
  7. Desjardins Financial Security
  8. The Empire Life Insurance Company
  9. Equitable
  10. Foresters Life Insurance Company
  11. Canada Protection Plan (Foresters Life)
  12. Humania Assurance Inc.
  13. Industrial Alliance Life Insurance
  14. The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company
  15. PolicyMe (Canadian Premier Life Insurance)
  16. Primerica Life Insurance Company

Friedmann AI launched in December, touting features like dictation input where natural language processing AI can use a meeting transcription to update client profiles.

Since its launch, managing general agency (MGA) Qualified Financial Services and its roughly 2,500 advisors started using FriedmannAI, Dutra said. He will announce partnerships with more MGAs in the coming months.
