(June 6 – 15:15 ET) – TD Bank Financial Group Chairman and CEO, A. Charles Baillie, welcomed Don Drummond as chief economist, TD Bank Financial Group, effective June 5, 2000.
“I am very pleased to welcome Don Drummond to TD,” says Baillie. “He brings with him valuable years of experience, and his expertise in government finance, economic analysis and social policy will greatly complement the focus of TD Economics.”
Drummond has over 20 years of experience as an economist in government. Most recently, he served as Associate Deputy Minister of Finance, where he advised the government on economic performance.
As chief economist, Drummond will oversee the development of analysis and forecasts on Canadian industries, provincial economies, commodity prices and Canadian government finances. He will also provide commentary on a wide array of economic trends and prospects.
