(June 21 – 16:40 ET) – The Montreal Exchange has appointed Philippe Loumeau as senior executive vice president, marketing, business development and strategy. Loumeau was most recently executive vice president of ParisBourse(SBF) SA, responsible for business strategy and international alliances. He previously worked in various areas related to the strategic and business development of the Matif and ParisBourse. Loumeau will begin his new role on August 1.

“Mr. Loumeau brings vast and solid experience to the Montreal Exchange, enabling us to accelerate our development strategy in the area of derivative products. The Montreal Exchange is growing rapidly, and Mr. Loumeau’s expertise will contribute significantly to our strategic and competitive positioning both nationally and internationally,” Luc Bertrand, president and CEO of the Montreal Exchange said in a press release.

Loumeau’s appointment completes the senior management committee put in place by Bertrand.
