(November 6 – 17:50 ET) – Royal & Sun Alliance Life Insurance Company of Canada is launching four index funds offering additional portfolio diversification. The four funds are: Royal & Sun Alliance Canada 60 Index Fund; Royal & Sun Alliance Europe 50 Index Fund; Royal & Sun Alliance U.S. 500 Index Fund; and Royal & Sun Alliance Opportunities 100 Index Fund.

“These funds will further complement our segregated fund family — including the four funds managed by Aim Trimark — by offering clients asset class, investment style and foreign markets diversity, as well as the ability to include active and passive investments,” says Kelly Houston, director of investment products marketing.

Units in the seg funds are available on either a no-load or deferred sales load basis.

Royal & Sun Alliance is also launching a new asset allocation program, Simplicity Plus. After completing a questionnaire, an investor will be presented with an appropriate portfolio.

Based on a fund of funds approach, the asset allocation program offers three portfolio funds — income, growth and performance — based on existing Royal & Sun Alliance seg funds.
