Investors Group Inc. today announced that the IG Beutel Goodman Canadian Small Cap Fund has been capped. Beutel Goodman, the fund sub-advisor has initiated this action based on the normal capacity constraints for a fund of this nature.

The fund will remain open to the reinvestment of distributions from existing unitholder accounts and to investments made through pre-established periodic investment services, but is closed to lump sum investments by new and existing unitholders.

The fund was introduced in July 1996. Fund assets as of March 21, 2002 are $330 million.
