Hartford Investments Canada Corp. announced today that Norman MacDonald, vp of Beutel, Goodman & Co. Ltd., is leaving Beutel Goodman effective immediately to pursue other opportunities.

MacDonald will no longer be involved in the day-to-day investment decisions with respect to Hartford Canadian Value Fund and Hartford Canadian Equity Income Fund.

Beutel Goodman has acted as Hartford’s portfolio sub-advisor for the two funds since their inception, and will continue to serve as Hartford’ portfolio sub-advisor.

The other two existing individual co-portfolio managers for both funds, namely Mark Thomson, senior vp of Beutel Goodman and Andrew Sweeney, vp of the firm will continue to share joint responsibility for the day-to-day investment decisions of both funds.
