(August 3 – 14:10 ET) – C.I. Mutual Funds Inc. says it has assumed the role of portfolio adviser to the Hansberger Value Fund and Hansberger International Fund and, indirectly, to Hansberger Value Sector Shares and Hansberger International Sector Shares.

In addition, the funds have been renamed C.I. Global Value Fund, C.I. International Value Fund, C.I. Global Value Sector Shares and C.I. International Value Sector Shares, respectively. The funds were previously managed by Hansberger Global Investors, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“This move is part of our ongoing strategy of streamlining our portfolio management while offering the world’s best investment teams,” Peter W. Anderson, C.I. president said in a statement.

John Hock is now the lead portfolio manager of these funds. Hock has over 12 years of investment industry experience focused on the analysis and selection of global securities. Before joining C.I. in May 2000, he was senior vice president at HGI, where he had been lead manager of the Hansberger Value Fund and the Hansberger International Fund since 1998. Hock holds the CFA designation, an MBA from New York University and a degree in applied economics from Cornell University.

Hock and his team also manage C.I. Global Financial Services Fund and C.I. Global Consumer Products Fund. He is also one of four lead managers of the C.I. Global Managers Fund and C.I. American Managers Fund.
