(August 1 – 17:00 ET) – Bonham & Co. Inc. Asset Management is moving into the institutional marketplace. It plans to offer asset management products and services to pension plans, endowment funds, not-for-profit organizations, public sector agencies and private clients.
The firm is also launching three new investment funds for institutional and High Net Worth clients.
The Bonham & Co. Canadian Equity Fund is managed by Ian Nakamoto, managing director of portfolio management at Bonham & Co. The fund provides investors with long-term capital growth by investing in medium and large Canadian corporations. Nakamoto has over twenty years of investment experience in the Canadian equity market. He received an M.B.A. from McMaster University and has also earned his CFA designation.
The Bonham & Co. Canadian Small Companies Fund is managed by Gordon Henderson, director of portfolio management at Bonham & Co. The fund provides investors with long-term capital growth by investing in emerging and medium sized Canadian corporations.Henderson has over five years of investment experience in portfolio management, corporate finance and equity research. He received an M.A. (Hons.) in Economics from St. Andrews University in the United Kingdom, and also pursued post-graduate work in Economics at Harvard University.
The Bonham & Co. American High Risk Fund is sub-advised by Mark Justh and John Stevenson of DeNovo Capital, Inc. in New York City. The fund takes advantage of long-term capital growth in North American equities, bonds and other securities. Justh has over nine years investment industry experience, both in equity as well as debt markets. He received a B.A. from Princeton, an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University, and an M.B.A. from INSEAD. Stephenson, a Canadian citizen, has since 1995 developed and implemented investment strategies for U.S. utilities and investment funds, and has particular expertise in natural resource equities, risk management, and commodities strategies. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo, an M.B..A from INSEAD and has also earned his CFA designation.
