(March 14 – 17:40 ET) – David Fisher has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Ombudsman, TD Bank Financial Group.
In November 1995, TD’s Office of the Ombudsman commenced operation with an initial focus on small and medium sized business customers. The services of the Ombudsman’s office were soon expanded to include all TD customers.
TD’s Office of the Ombudsman works impartially to adjudicate customer complaints. Recently the services provided by the Ombudsman’s Office were made available to customers of Canada Trust, following the acquisition of Canada Trust by TD on February 1, 2000.
In addition, customers are able to seek further review of their cases by the office of the Canadian Banking Ombudsman . The CBO is an external independent Ombudsman service funded by member financial institutions, and provides a service to those customers unable to resolve their disputes through their Banks’ Ombudsman.
