(September 15 – 10:15 ET) – Tom Rice, president and CEO of Rice Financial, has made it to the Prairie regional finals for Canadian “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.

The award is sponsored by Ernst & Young, Canadian Business magazine, BMO Nesbitt Burns and Global TV. The program is designed to honour entrepreneurs who have created and sustained successful business ventures.

Rice Capital is the holding company of Rice Financial Group Inc. and Independent Wealth Advantage Inc., a provider of back office support services to independent financial planners and mutual fund reps in Alberta and B.C. The Rice Capital group of companies has over $3 billion in assets under administration and over 125,000 clients.Rice launched his unique firm in Winnipeg back in 1980. It has grown throughout B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
