Global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney has appointed David Noble as vice president and new global head of the firm’s financial institutions practice. Noble, 41, will be based in New York and will report to Bram Bluestein, executive vice president and head of global industry practices for A.T. Kearney.

Noble joins A.T. Kearney from Morgan Stanley, where he was a senior managing director. He served as one of six members of the firm’s Retail Operating Committee responsible for Morgan Stanley’s global retail investor group, a unit with 14,000 financial advisors in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Noble was CEO of Security First Network Bank (SNFB), a subsidiary of RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Financial Group. During his tenure, SFNB was ranked as the number one online bank in the U.S. for seven consecutive quarters. Other positions during his 15-year career with RBC included vice president of Asia strategy and strategic investments and vice president and global head of non-bank financial institutions.

Noble holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of British Columbia, a master’s degree in economics from Queen’s University and a master’s of international management from McGill University. He is an Advisory Board Member of CashEdge (New York) and Fincareer (Zurich). Noble also has served in numerous advisory roles for organizations including the American Bankers Association, BAI Retail Delivery 2000, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the 21st Century Atlanta CEO Leadership Group and Casey House in Toronto.
