Deutsche Asset Management today announced the appointment of Thomas Eggers as president and CEO of Scudder Investments.
Eggers will report to William Shiebler, CEO of Deutsche Asset Management in the Americas. Eggers will have responsibility for all aspects of the Scudder Investments business. “I am very pleased that Tom has joined our team,” commented Shiebler. “Tom brings over 25 years of asset management experience with him. He has a clear understanding of and focus on the needs of clients and advisors, which will be core to Scudder Investments’ growth strategy.”
Eggers, 49, joins Scudder Investments after spending six years with The Dreyfus Corp., most recently as president of The Dreyfus Corp. and chairman and CEO of Dreyfus Service Corp. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Paine Webber.
