Gordon Fyfe has been named president of CDP Global Asset Management.

Fyfe has over 20 years’ experience in the financial sector. Until just recently, he was president and chief operating officer of TAL International, a unit of TAL Global Asset Management. During his 10 years at TAL, Fyfe built the international and quantitative management and distribution businesses and was responsible for the firm’s expansion outside of North America.

As well as Montreal,. Fyfe has worked in Paris, New York and London, the last two during his six years with J.P. Morgan.

A native of Victoria, B.C., Fyfe holds a Bachelor of Commerce (finance and economics) from University of British Columbia and an MBA from INSEAD, in France.

The president of CDP Capital, Michel Nadeau stated that Fyfe was known for his business development acumen and expertise in leading management teams. “He will be primarily responsible for pursuing the development of CDP Global Asset Management as an international leader in the management of liquid market investments, a reputation earned as a result of the excellent performance of its assets under management”.

Fyfe will assume his new position on March 11.
